Planning to attend an event?

If you're thinking of attending an event at Blazing Star Oasis, here are some things we think you might want to know beforehand.

About our space

Blazing Star Oasis is located at 77 8th Street in Oakland. We are in suite 206, which is on the second floor of a building that has no elevator; consider that if stairs are a problem for you. There are 26 stairs between us and the street level, with a short landing nine stairs from the bottom, in a stairwell that has no turns.

For events happening on Sunday, street parking can be a challenge if you arrive before about 3:30 pm, though after that it's much easier. However, we are directly across the street from the Lake Merritt BART station.

Some of our events have special attendance requirements. If you're attending one of those, you probably received an invitation that listed the requirements for that event. Except for those, everything is open to the general public unless the event announcement explicitly says otherwise. But, just to make sure...

Tell us you're coming

Because things occasionally do happen that cause our circumstances to change, if you plan to attend please RSVP to our attendance coordinator to tell us that you will attend on a given date. That way, if there's a problem we can let you know early.
